Waterborn SUP race- Kingsbridge

I had an amazing weekend in Kingsbridge, Devon, 2 weeks ago. We travelled down on the Saturday morning, bright and early, and got to admire the beautiful Devonshire counrtyside. As we arrived we could feel the antisipation growing in the atmosphere, people flooding into the carpark, and everyone buzzing. It was set to be an exciting race. The course was confirmed as about 11 1/2 km, starting at the Crabshell Inn, with 100+ competitiors taking part.

I got to experience taking photos from the water on the designated photographer's boat, rather than on land, giving me a completely different perspective of the mini battles that take place throughout the race, usually not seen by spectators.

After all the racing was finished, and food had been eaten, the award ceremony took place under the stars.

Waking up the next day with the view of creek covered in the reflection of the early morning sun was breathtaking and so relaxing.

Overall, the weekend was a huge success, and I was honoured to have been apart of it.

Georgia :)
